Trend Micro Global Operations and Support Intact

TOKYO – March 18, 2011 - Trend Micro Tokyo headquarters came through the recent Japanese earthquake with minimal damage and no injuries or loss of life. Despite continuing a few difficulties with transportation in the Tokyo area, Trend Micro Japanese as well as global operations and support are intact. Data center services for email and Internet are functioning with back up plans in place. Trend Micro is observing government recommendations at this time, as well as earthquake-related energy conservation efforts.

Trend Micro global support functions are unaffected by these events as they reside outside of Japan. Product-related pattern file distribution and in-the-cloud security reputation services associated with the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network technology infrastructure continue to be provided globally.

Trend Micro has contributed to earthquake reconstruction and relief efforts by donating 1 million yen. In addition, the company is matching staff-solicited donations in an equal amount as part of the company's ongoing "Give and Match" global disaster relief program.
